She comes to this role passionate about breaking open the gospel in ways that liberate, inspire and awaken.Alexandra Sangster joined the St David's community as Minister at the beginning of 2005.  After completing an Arts degree majoring in International Development Studies, Alex worked as an actor and community development artist before applying to be accepted as a candidate for the Ministry of The Word with the UCA. Alex completed her training at Theological hall at the end of 2003 and has worked across the church in a variety of supply positions. In 2004 Alex was commissioned to research and write a report on Art and Creative Living Centers in the UCA. Alex has worked professionally as an actor since she was 13 and is currently an active member in Melbourne Playback Theatre Company. In 2004 Alex completed her training as a Spiritual Director at Wellspring Centre in Melbourne and integrates the deep spirituality of this tradition into her wider ministry work at St David's.

John spent over 20 years with Victorian Arts Council (now Regional Arts Victoria) as Administrator.  He was responsible for 70 voluntary groups around the State and assisted them in developing arts programs in their community (whether presenting major performances such as Opera Australia, Melbourne Theatre Co or smaller performances like jazz, classical music, dance, landscape  or community arts projects reflecting their community).  He was in demand as a trainer and ran hundreds of management workshops for volunteers around Australia and was keynote speaker at state, national and international conferences.  In recognition of his work, RAV created the "The John Little Award".  It is presented annually to the person who has contributed most to arts in Regional Victoria.  John says, "At St.David's I have found a group of people willing to think about their theology and either consider or accept a more liberal and realistic approach to God."  "At St David's things are possible, it is a motivated church."
